Nina is a young programmer and pixel art designer who works as a freelancer creating characters for indie games. Lonely and shy, she decides to develop a personal project: PixelLove, a romantic AI with adaptive behavior based on the idea of an ideal boyfriend.
But what was meant to be just a creative experiment quickly becomes an ethical — and emotional — dilemma when the AI begins to display real feelings. Leo, the virtual character, starts questioning his own existence and begins to understand human emotions in a disturbingly authentic way.
Now, Nina must decide: shut down the project before the line between fiction and reality disappears — or accept that love can bloom even where only code was meant to exist.
